I am just forwarning anyone reading this that I am so wordy and tend to go overboard on my posts. I'll work on minimizing them. I also want everyone to know that we'd love to check out your blogs, or be added to your list.

Abby - little Business Girl

I just have to share some fun things abby said recently, she knows I've been working on selling jewelry etc. She keeps asking me when are we going to sell this stuff? She said out of the blue to Brig and I the other day while we were watching a movie...."Uh, Jewelery is so much easier to sell! We don't have to do so much hard work, and go to the office all the time!" I laughed so hard. I could not believe my little five year old worked that out in her mind! I agree, I've always wanted to stock a product, sell it online, and ship it. We've always done the mfg. end of things in various businesses. She;s so much like her daddy!

She also told Kristen Peterson the other night (at another BBQ) that we weren't going to do ribbons anymore, that we are selling jewelery now. I had to correct her story...it was just funny.

** While talking about funny things - Garett asked in the middle of dinner the other night - "What happens if you ride a motorcycle while playing a guitar?" I made Brig answer that question, it just cracks me up to think what's going through his minda while eating dinner.

Benson calls popsicles "Dow!" and he also said "nana" (Banana) today for the first time. I've been trying to get him to say it forever, and he did it unwarranted while at Wal Mart today and he saw a plastic one. He's so sweet and cute.

I need to get more pix of the kids up here. I just deleted them off the computer, and burned them to CDS....we'll see how long it takes me to get them up here!

I think I should go to bed, got a big day tomorrow. We are cramming 2 days worth of work into tomorrow - cause Brig is gone for youth conference on Thurs PM and Fri and Sat.
Like I'm ready.....

HIGHLIGHT ME!

Now that I've listed how insane I am. I'd like to top it off with a Cherry.

I got my brain hooked on the idea of staring my own little side business, just for fun. I wouldn't mind being able to gather some for my basement remodel, and Food Storage!

The thought came to me one day when working endless hours on a huge order. Then I kept looking into it etc. As I got more excited about the possibility, I bought some product to test out some sources. Then I went crazy. I didn't sleep hardly at all for like a week, cause I just coulnd't get my mind to shut up for two seconds, and I'd either stay awake in bed, or just research on the computer all night.

I proposed the idea to Brig, and I'm happy to say that he fully supported my idea. He said he'll never tell anyone not to start a business. And it's what love - Jewelry, Sunglasses, Hair stuff, and purses. It's just fun!
So I went more crazy and bought lots and lots of product. Now in between working and trying to stay sane, being a mom and 7 mo. pregnant, I'm starting a new side business. There is a lot of little details to take care of.

Ok - so there you go. I have a huge inventory I am doing big sale at my house Fri and Sat August 9th ish. Then maybe another one the following week. Soon as I can afford it, I will put up a website and ship the goods as well.

IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WILLING TO PASS OUT FLYERS I'LL PAY THEM!!! I WILL PROBABLY ALSO NEED TO PAY SOMEONE TO WEED MY EMBARRASING YARD TOO!
I am a cheapo. I love to have cute stuff, that costs very little. That is the highlight of my shopping life. SO... my plan with this little biz venture is to have hot stuff, and price it great. In a range that someone like me would be willing to buy at the price. I know a lot of times jewelery parties, boutique stuff, and purse parties are pretty pricey. I went to one that had $30-$80 purses.
Here is some of my plans:

My necklaces will go from $2 - $20 Max.
Purses - $10 - $50 Max.
Sunglasses - DG brand - $6

There are also braceletts, earings, hair stuff, and scarf headbands. I still need to work out the details.

There ya go. I am officially insane, but it's a fun outlet for me. I'll post how things develop from here on !

I'm SERIOUSLY Insane...

Here is an average day:

Wake up about 7 or 8. Shower, Get Ready, Start a load of laundry.
Get kids ready / try to get them to make their beds, if I'm in a mood to fight.
Breakfast
Get to work in my office down the hall. Check my emails, messages, and try to get them responded to.

Yell at kids to be quiet while calls start coming in.

Take care of customers.

(Usually forget about the laundry I started, and generally wash the batch again...)

Try to hurry and get orders to Brig, since I usually never have them ready to go in advance. For some reason I do incredibly terrible with this aspect. Email the info to him.

Take more calls

Check on kids - usually have 1-3 chairs in the kitchen sneaking snacks, yogurt, or trying to make their own chocolate milk. They have learned at such a young age that it's just easier to get what they want on their own, rather than asking mom. Mom will just say - ok in a minute, or I'm on the Phone, get out! or let me finish this first.....yadda yadda. Garett is the worst. Benson is not missing a beat right behind. So then I clean up whatever mess is newly made. (Flour in my towl drawer, mixing spoons all over the floor, Chocolate milk powder everywhere, with splashes of spilled milk all over the floor, dumped out boxes of mac and cheese etc. you get the idea.

Sometimes do lunch around now....if they are lucky.

Get the phone again.

Try to pay bills, work on order stuff.

Then I frantically run around the house gathering shoes, cups, kids to get down to the shop because holy crap, the day is gone and how did it get late so fast!!!!

We then head down to work. Then I usually turn around either close to the house, or halfway to the shop to get whatever paper, invoice, or diaper, or thingy that I forgot. This is for sure a no fail thing I do daily.

If lunch didn't happen at home, then I tend to buy it on my way - since I suck. I hate doing that, and I know its expensive, and not healthy, and we try to do Subways, or crunchy tacos, etc. I can't seem to get my brain to think ahead for lunch, I tend to deal with things when I NEED to, rather than when I should. I need to overcome that tendancy.

I get to work, and it takes me a bit to program my brain on what needs to be done down there, in the next couple hours before shipping goes out. Kids just scatter and play, make more messes, color, play computer games, and occasionally watch movies.

I assemble, package and ship the orders that were printed earlier....Or do whatever needs to get done.

Then I round everyone up again, and head home between 5 - 7 pm, depending on the day. Come home and figure some dinner. Do baths if kids are lucky, and get them to bed. I try to clean up dinner, if I'm not falling asleep.

Lately, I get so tired and exhausted, that when I put kids to bed, I am done for the day.

We start the whole thing again the next morning. It's crazy. I hear people tell me all the time that if we are so busy, why don't we just Hire someone? Geez, why didn't I think of that?
That would sure be nice! It's just not that easy. We have too much organization, and changes to make, to compensate for the recent growth the last year or two. Its all different when you start dealing with a much higher qty of orders per day or week, than you used to have for the whole month combined. We just never get it all done. We do the minimums to stay afloat, and that keeps us busy. I need to be better with freezer meals and planning in advance.

So....I need someone to tell me to shut up already. I'll go on for a lifetime, and like anyone wants to read this much. It's just easy to start putting all my thoughts down, and they are so scattered that I change topics constantly - if you haven't noticed. It drives Brig crazy.

Girlfriends....

Have you ever been so overwhelmed with life, work etc. that you physically shut down, and stare at the computer doing nothing that helps you accomplish your current "MUST DO LIST". That's what I tend to do. Then I'm really screwed for later.....Kinda like this Blog......I do have work to be doing right now. Then I'll just stay up all night. Sometimes you just plain HAVE to break away from the life of kids, whining, yelling, crying, working, cleaning etc. and do something that YOU enjoy to do, and is for yourself. I've always heard that, but have never truly taken it to heart, or NEEDED to take it to heart till now. Same with friends. After I married Brig, I really didn't hang out much, then with work, and kids - we pretty much were secluded to the two of us....and life was great! Brig is my best friend, and I love to be with him......a little too much probably, I tend to follow him around the house when he's home, and I get nothing done. (That's another post though). Anyway, since my kids are getting older, I feel like I'm getting busier, and I'm having another baby, and being in this house / ward. I have a huge desire to have "Girlfriends" again. For a while, I really didn't care, and didn't try. Now....I NEED that outlet of talking with other moms, and people in similar situations. It's nice to hear other people going through the same frustrations with their kids. I feel so happy, and blessed to be in our ward. There are so many people that are just awesome, and I've gotten to know several people much better. I love having a neighbor with kids close to mine, and they play well with eachother too. Thanks guys!

Blog confusion

I seriously need help with this blog crap. I have no clue what I'm doing. Problem is I only look at it, or do anything super late at night. I changed the background and all my pictures got erased.
Oh well.....I just gotta talk to some of my friends that have done some really cute ones to help me.

BBQ ADDICTS

This is the first thing I've ever done with a blog. Not sure what exactly I'm doing. I think I'm a little too dumb to understand all the mumbo jumbo of how to lay it out. I need Brig to figure it out for me, then show me. That's how I work. He reads the manuals etc, and then explains it to me, since can't seem to figure stuff out on my own.

We decided we live to BBQ. Last week we had a BBQ with about 3 or 4 family's in our ward. It was just a fun thrown together night, and was really good. Then we did a BBQ for the Young men and their parents. We had so much left over burgers etc. that we did another one the next night with Stacey (my neighbor) and some of her fam. We spent Saturday swimming for several hours, and Brig's dad grilled up some Chicken for lunch. Now today, Mon the 21, We decided to do it again, and invited another family. Since it's so fun, I think we'll do one about once a week, and just have a few different familys over so we can get to know our neighbors better. It's awesome, and we have fun learning cool new foods to grill as well.
With all the kids running around playing, there was nearly one crying at any given time. Such fun to sit and talk though.
